Voltaren Diclofenac (100mg) works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes responsible for production of prostaglandins. This in turn causes increased prostaglandin synthesis, which in turn leads to pain and inflammation.
Voltaren Diclofenac (100mg) is generally taken as a 2-4 hourly dose. The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once per day. Voltaren Diclofenac (100mg) belongs to a class of drugs known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
